Universal Pictures have just released the brand new trailer for their upcoming film ‘Nobody’. Starring everyone’s favourite lawyer ‘Bob Odenkirk’, however this time he’s swapping the dodgy mobile phones and Huell for some kickass moves and automatic machine guns.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry) and written by Derek Kolstad, the creative mind behind John Wick, you can clearly see where the inspiration for this character came from.

The trailer starts with Bob Odenkirk regrettably hesitating to confront burglars in his home (something we are used to seeing from Odenkirk’s other cowering characters). Then boom, he goes full on badass and when I say badass, I am talking full on John Wick B-A-D-A-S-S. Who knew little old Saul Goodman had this in him?

Along with explosive action from the incredibly powerful Bob Odenkirk, we see an array of familiar faces like Connie Nielsen, Colin Salmon and many more.

Originally scheduled for a 2020 release, Universal Pictures have now announced that their new blockbuster ‘Nobody’ is set to be released in Theatres only, on February 26th 2021. The official synopsis can be found below.

Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life’s indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe, The Shack), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen, Wonder Woman), seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary (famed Russian actor Aleksey Serebryakov, Amazon’s McMafia)—and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again. Nobody is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry), from a script by Derek Kolstad, the narrative architect of the John Wick franchise, and co-stars legendary Emmy winner Christopher Lloyd as Hutch’s father and multi-hyphenate musician-actor RZA as Hutch’s brother, whose own hidden talents aid Hutch in his quest for vengeance. The film is produced by Kelly McCormick, p.g.a, and David Leitch, p.g.a., the filmmakers of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde, for their company 87North, by Braden Aftergood, p.g.a. (Hell or High Water, Wind River), for his Eighty Two Films, and by Bob Odenkirk and Marc Provissiero (Hulu’s PEN15) for Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment. The film is executive produced by Derek Kolstad, Marc S. Fischer, Annie Marter and Tobey Maguire.

After starting out as a comedy writer, Bob Odenkirk has made massive efforts to showcase his versatility as an actor over the years. In an interview with IGN, Odenkirk told them that, to prepare for the role of Hutch, he “trained for two years” before shooting. “It wasn’t about developing a superhero body for me, I look like a regular dad.”

Here are a couple more production photos to get you hyped!

What are your thoughts on the trailer? Are you looking forward to this film? I know I am.
